I love my Hank, (HankO, Hanky, Hanko Panko, Hanky Panky, Pumpkin, bubba, bubbas). What a wonderful joy to be his mommy. A friend of mine adopted a yellow lab who's cage name was Handsome. When he brought him home, his son re named him Hank. When Hank was around four years old my friend could no longer keep Hank -and though he struggled with parting with the dog he'd grown attached to- he agreed to let me take Hank home. Hank was a great sport the first week as he put up with two new cats who really wanted nothing to do with this huge animal towering over them. All three animals are use to each other now and get along swimmingly. Hank loves to play tug-of-war, roll in the grass, walk, run, lounge in front of the fire place with the cats, go for car rides and get his doggy bagle in the Einsteins drive-through. He also has come to believe every drive-through window has a doggy bagle waiting for him. I now carry biscuits and greenies so every car ride includes a treat for my Hanky. Hank has also come to enjoy bath time at the self serve shop where I give him an extra rinse so his skin doesn't itch - it's about a 20 minute rinse down to ensure the soap doesn't aggravate his allergies, but it's well worth it for the comfort of my baby.
Hank will always cherish and love his first family (mommy's friend) who rescued, named, cared, trained and provided shelter for Hank the first 4 years of his life and Hank still enjoys any chance to visit them.
